| Welcome to the San Diego Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
As you learn more about DAR, you learn more about who you are.
San Diego Chapter NSDAR is the oldest and largest chapter in Southern
California's District XIV. We report to the State and to National
Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Young and old, rich and poor, active and retired, our members, all direct
descendents of Revolutionary War patriots, are bound together with pride
in our inheritance and our love of country. We are a group of ladies with
varied backgrounds and talents. We come with professional experience in many fields.
A monthly meeting at a beautiful golf country club includes business,
luncheon, and a guest speaker. While promoting patriotism, good
citizenship, American history studies in the schools, and supporting the
military, USO, and American Indian projects, we also have concerns today
addressing women's issues and children's needs. We are inspired by the
deeds and dreams of our forefathers. There is something for everyone to do!
We all share a great heritage. Times have changed and so have we in DAR.
Coming together is beginning, staying together is progress, working together is success.
